“WINE & WISHES” AT PERRY’S RAISES MORE THAN $56,000 FOR MAKE-A-WISH FOUNDATION®
Houston (February 3, 2011) – The Bay Area Chi Omega Alumnae Chapter, in partnership with Perry’s Restaurant Group, raised more than $56,000 to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of the Texas Gulf Coast during the recent, fifth annual “Wine & Wishes” culinary adventure at Perry’s Steakhouse & Grille in Clear Lake, Texas. The sold-out, five-course wine dinner with entertainment and a live auction drew Make-A-Wish supporters from throughout the Bay Area whose generosity is helping dreams come true for Houston-area children coping with life-threatening medical conditions.
Due to the overwhelming generosity of local supporters, the Wine & Wishes program, which traditionally grants the wishes of four Houston-area children coping with life- threatening medical conditions, will be able to grant wishes for five additional Houston-area children. This is the second year in a row Wine & Wishes has been able to more than double the amount of wishes granted.
Of the nine total recipients, wishes granted include vacations to Disney World for four-year-old Avery M. and five-year-old Angel C. Eleven-year-old Sydney C. will visit Bora Bora, and five-year-old Felix F. will visit Atlantis Hotel – Bahamas.
