Dallas News Frisco Insiders Blog: Perry’s Steakhouse & Grille makes a grand entrance at ribbon cutting

November 14, 2014 | News & Information

Dallas News

Perry’s Steakhouse & Grille has been a top notch uptown Dallas dining experience for years. Originally started in 1979 as a meat market, the family-owned business has grown into a world class dining experience now with 12 locations across Texas, Colorado and Illinois. The Perry’s location in Frisco officially opens on Monday, but Friday was its ribbon cutting ceremony and welcome to the neighborhood event.

With the mayor, city council, and Chamber of Commerce leadership in attendance, it was a who’s who guest list for Frisco. The restaurant is located on Parkwood Blvd., right by Stonebriar Centre Mall, the Dr. Pepper Ballpark, Dallas Stars executive offices and Frisco Convention Center. It’s a prime location for business diners and those looking for a high end night out (pardon the pun).

Guests at Friday’s event were treated to h’our derves of some of its signature dishes -— tuna tartare, in house made Polish sausage and barbecue sauce, pork chop seasoned to perfection, fried asparagus with lump crab meat, and the most incredible chateaubriand. The steak was paired with three different sauces -—bernaise, a truffle merlot and roasted peppercorn. If that wasn’t enough, both red and white selections of its house label wines were offered. Gluttony may be considered a sin, but it felt so right.

This is truly going to be a place where Frisco diners can splurge on amazing food, excellent service and a lively atmosphere. And if you’re not looking for the full dining experience, Bar 79 is a wonderful area to have a drink and have a smaller taste of the menu. The piano in the bar was even put to work during the event. I would strongly suggest making reservations -— walk ins may have to wait a while to taste everything Perry’s has to offer.

Christi Redfearn is a wife and mom of two young kids. She’s a downtowner at heart, but said Frisco was too good to pass up when it came to raising kids.
